In a leadership role, one must limit the number of individuals directly reporting to you.

In 2018, Lete Mr. Mrutyunjay Mishra gave one of the best advice, "Limit your interfaces".

When interacting with many people, you distribute your time and energy, leaving very little for the interfaces that require your maximum attention.

Our greed for keeping everything in our hands not only drains us but also limits our decision-making ability.

So before you take your company to the growth route, make sure:

1> Have your verticals (you lead) defined.

2> Limit your interfaces to 6-8 max (Including your cofounders), and spend more time with them.

3> Use your free time to learn, strategise and innovate.

Fun fact: Elon Must have 20+ direct reports at Tesla.

How many people directly report to you?
