never Teach, just make them think

With 1/4th of preparation, 3/4th of theater.

I love teaching

Teaching and knowledge sharing is something that is very close to my heart. When you speak and interact with students, back of the mind you also get immense clarity on your concept. One more great thing about teaching is, it is a two-way learning process. I share your experience and knowledge and learn curiosity and flexibility in return.

So, currently, I am teaching product design to PG (Post-graduate) students of CEPT University. Managing the professional work and teaching together turns out to be challenging at times, but when you see the curiosity and excitement after a great brainstorming session it feels worth putting effort and time.

product design

I have enjoyed practicing product design in the last decade. During my journey, I have learned so much about the domain and how it can change the shape of the product experience.

In an honest attempt of sharing, I teach my learning from the journey and mistakes to young design students. We try to cover from fundamentals of design to some of the complex concepts like form schematics, ergonomics, design for masses, etc.

In return, I gain enthusiasm, energy, and passion from students. I guess it is a win-win situation and I love it. The energy and hunger of learning new things keep me motivated to share more of what I have learned.

Innovation

Design and innovation go hand in hand.

As a product designer and engineer, I am deeply fascinated with how innovation and good design turn into a great product.

In my product design course, I encourage students to take an innovative approach to design. Sometimes even a minute innovation in aesthetics, ergonomics, or functionality can significantly affect how users perceive the product.

entrepreneurship

I believe designers are the best entrepreneurial potential.

It is sad that our education system teaches us to always pursue the safe option - a job. During my course, I encourage students to consider entrepreneurship as a career option.

With multiple case studies, I try to open students' mindsets and push them to see the bigger picture.
